Coming August 10th

Falling in love is easy.

Learning to love your family is a different story.

By sixteen, Dylan has already seen the worst of life and lost all faith in people. So when he’s sent to live with family he barely knows, cooperation is not his first choice.

Between a house full of raucous personalities, a brother who refuses to give up on him, and a girl who sees through every wall he tries to build, Dylan learns that keeping his distance isn’t an option anymore. And he begins to feel something he doesn’t trust: belonging.

But old habits don’t disappear overnight.

As tensions rise and his choices continue to carry real consequences, Dylan must decide whether to continue running—or finally learn what it means to be part of a family.

La Familia is a raw, character-driven coming-of-age story about identity, loyalty, and the complicated reality of learning how to love what matters most.

Over here, we watch things and we eat.

The goal is to harvest all that good, weird, and life-changing nostalgia, and/or new experiences and obsessive adoration that we get from movies and shows and turn it into something yummy. Anything goes, from blockbuster films I may have seen a thousand times, to anime I’ve never even heard of. We’ll watch it, talk about it, and then we’ll find some munchies and crunchies to devour in its honor.

Every so often, I will roll up my sleeves to make a well-deserving dish, and if it’s good enough…it might even deserve a cake.
